let me introduce you to the first part of my new collection of elegant tiaras

KEY5 by J. Nikadimus

I am Johann Nikadimus,

I embroider modern tiaras according to my own design, keeping the ancient technology unchanged as the masters did hundreds of years ago.

I started my creative path 10 years ago in Moscow. I quit my career in fashion retail and learned to create copies of antient headdresses based on samples from museums. To revive this unique embroidery technology, I began to embroider accessories according to my own designs. Now I am a member of the Homo Fiber Guide of the Swiss Machelangelo Foundation, my works took part in the Venice Biennale Homo Fiber 2024, the XTANT exhibition on the island of Mallorca, my works are of interest to leading embroidery researchers, in 2021 I presented my works at the exhibition of the new Cartier collection in St. Petersburg. I have been living and working in Serbia since 2023.

The KEY5 core collection consists of 5 tiaras and

refers to the world history of ornamentation. These floral and geometric motifs are found in archaic works of art on all continents of the world. Tiaras remind us that time is continuous and each person is connected to the vastness of cultural history.

About the technology:

My embroidery and tiaras can be classified as Couture. The objects are quite fragile, they should be protected from mechanical impact, direct sunlight and moisture.

The tiaras do not have wire or metal frame inside. This is embroidery on fabric, which is cut out after joining with a special collagen glue. This glue gives them hardness and elasticity.

The masters embroidered exactly the same way 200 and 700 years ago - in museums we see examples from the 15th century and earlier. For many centuries, pearls were mined in the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf to enrich the cultures of Europe and Eurasia with these precious stones. Pearls were a symbol of well-being and purity in many cultures of the world.

My tiaras are the author's know-how, their design is distinguished by special elegance.
